Job Summary

Our search is underway at Legacy Christian Academy to appoint a new Associate Head of School who will begin on or before July 1, 2024.

The Associate Head (AHOS) will work in close partnership with the Head of School to advance the school’s mission and achieve academic and operational goals. The AHOS will provide ongoing leadership, guidance, support, and feedback to the four division principals, the Senior Director of Curriculum & Instruction, and the Senior Director of Community Engagement.

The AHOS will also represent the Head of School as needed at meetings or functions within and outside the LCA community.

Academic Leadership

Responsible for maintaining and supervising the school’s academic programs including curriculum and setting policy to align with the mission of the school.

Professional Development

Responsible for all school-wide professional development and manage the school’s professional development budget.

Recruitment, Hiring and Retention

Responsible for the organization and supervision of the recruitment and hiring process for all positions including decisions about retention and termination of those under his or her supervision.

Executive Leadership

Participate and collaborate with the Head of School’s Executive Leadership Team: Chief People & Culture Officer, Chief Discipleship Officer, Chief Advancement Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

Partnership With The Head

Partner directly with the Head of School to communicate about decisions and actions, to brainstorm opportunities, and plan together for strategic initiatives.
