Briarwood Christian School (BCS), a ministry of Briarwood Presbyterian Church, located in Birmingham, Alabama, is a co-educational school serving over 1600 students in grades JK through 12, nearly 1,000 of whom are enrolled in the Lower School. BCS seeks to hire a Lower School Head/Elementary Division Principal (3rd-6th grade) for the 2027–2028 school year. The Lower School Head is responsible for the success of the Lower School as guided by the Superintendent, providing spiritual, educational, and administrative leadership to the Lower School (Cub House Program–6th Grade). The Lower School Head is to inspire, lead, and direct all phases of the school’s operations, programs, personnel, and environment in accordance with the direction and policies established by the BCS School Board and administered by the Superintendent. Salary and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
The Lower School (JK–6th) resides on the 75-acre Briarwood Presbyterian Church campus, while the Upper School (7th–12th) sits nine miles away on 88 acres along Cahaba Valley Road.
